Pay Attention to Your Brain This December!

Let’s start this month with a little heart-to-heart…
We’re stepping into that season where everyone is talking about goals, resolutions, vision boards, new planners, new habits — all the things that sound like a fresh start.
But can I be honest with you?
None of that matters if your brain isn’t ready for the life you’re trying to create.
Before you even set a goal, your brain is already deciding...
whether you’ll stay consistent…
whether you’ll remember what you planned…
whether you’ll regulate your emotions…
whether you’ll stay calm or spiral…
whether you’ll show up or shut down!
And that’s why I’m calling December Love Your Brain Month.
Not because it’s cute. But because it’s necessary.
I learned this the hard way. Through an AVM. Through a brain aneurysm. Through memory loss. Through being told my life would never look like this.
But God...He said, “Not yet. She still has work to do.”
So here I am… inviting you into a month where we slow down enough to give the one organ that determines every decision, every thought, every mood, every interaction… the love it deserves.
Because sometimes your HEART wants better, but your BRAIN is carrying too much.
Sometimes you’re not tired, your brain is just overstimulated.
Sometimes you’re not unfocused , your brain is overwhelmed.
Sometimes you’re not inconsistent, your brain is trying to protect you from repeating old pain!
And I promise you this: When your brain feels supported, your entire life starts breathing again.
Your mood softens.
Your focus clears.
Your energy returns.
Your confidence rises.
Your purpose expands.
You begin to feel like YOU again — the version God saw before life tried to shrink you.
So as we begin December, I want you to pause with me and just whisper:
“Love your brain.”
Say it gently. Say it like you’re talking to a friend. Say it like a promise to your future self.
Because this month, we are not rushing into 2026. We are preparing our minds to carry what God is about to release.
This Week, Start Here — Three Simple Actions
Nothing overwhelming.Nothing unrealistic.Just gentle shifts your brain will thank you for.
1. Choose ONE thing your brain needs right now.
Is it rest? Stillness? Hydration? Breathing room? A slow morning? Don’t overthink it. Choose one.
2. Remove one source of overstimulation.
Turn off notifications. Put one boundary in place. Clear one corner of your home. Unfollow one account that drains you. Your brain will feel the difference immediately.
3. Commit to rhythm, not pressure.
Consistency doesn’t mean rushing. It means building days that don’t break your brain. Tiny steps > big promises.
Speak these over your life: softly or boldly, but speak them out:
#IChoose to love my brain and lead my life with intention!
#IChoose to honour the organ God used to protect and preserve my life and my story.
With Gratitude
Annabel
