Do you think about what you're thinking about?
If you haven’t you should give it a go!
Recently I’ve been taking stock of my thoughts and I have been surprised by the results. I’ve asked myself what have I been thinking about and honestly I’ve not been able to answer that question!! It’s like there is a blank! A hole that my thoughts fall into that I can no longer retrieve...why does that happen? I don’t even know the answer to that question…yet, but I will go searching for it. I will seek it out until I find the answer!
Until then, I will do what I know to do. I used to have a set of declarations and declare them daily. Why did I stop saying them? I take a deep sigh...as I have no answer to my own question, dwelling on that will not move me forward so I shall re-write a new set and commit to them.
As a new month approaches - the month of June, I’m going to do something different. I’m going to challenge myself to start thinking with more purpose and intention. I desire to improve and remember my thoughts. James Allen says
“Men are anxious to improve their circumstances, but are unwilling to improve themselves; they therefore remain bound.”
And
“You are today where your thoughts have brought you; you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you.”
Therefore to take back control of my thoughts and be more aware of what I am actually thinking as well as preventing weeds from growing within my mind - the challenge I am setting myself for the next 7 days is to post what #ichoose to think, dwell and ponder on. By choosing to think on these words, sentences and/or phrases I will also share what (if anything) is changing within or around me.
As I do this - I believe it will be the start of greater change with my thoughts, memory and eventual actions. I will share it all - and it will be wonderful if many of you who read my blog take up this challenge as well. Let’s do this together!
